Upper Shirley Vineyards Engagement | Katie + Joseph

We could not have wished for better weather for Katie and Joseph’s engagement session at Upper Shirley Vineyards. The two come here often, as made evident by their selfies on their instagram with the vines in the background. They wanted to have their engagement session somewhere that means a lot to them so why not somewhere beautiful where they love to spend their time.

The sun was shining, the sky was my favorite shade of blue, and the sunset was an absolute dream.

”Joe and I met ten years ago working at a coffee shop over summer break in Williamsburg when we were both in college. For him, it was love at first sight. I definitely knew I'd met someone I wanted to know for the rest of my life, but the timing wasn’t right. After that summer, we remained friends, went our separate ways for school and other relationships, but didn't date for another four years. We reconnected in New Orleans after a few years where he was living - I was visiting for a few days. We agreed to meet for a quick coffee when I was in NOLA. This time, when he walked in the coffee shop, I knew that I had to do whatever I could to never let him out of my life again. We've been together now for almost six years.”
